Cottonwood Heights residents can hear live music, watch a drone show, and catch fireworks all in one weekend as Butlerville Days runs Thursday, July 16, through Saturday, July 18. In Holladay, the free Summer Concert Series hits its 10th year with shows every Saturday night through August.
Butlerville Days: July 16–18
The city's signature celebration features eight live musical acts, inflatables and games from Custom Events, and a Saturday night finale that includes both a drone show by Open Sky Productions and a fireworks display by Lantis Productions. The Cottonwood Heights City Council approved contracts for all performers and vendors at its July 7 meeting.
The musical lineup includes Johnny Utah, House of Rock, Surf Daddy, dadandtheduplicates, Andrea Sharp country band, Holidae Band, Alex Elggren Band, and QC Band.
The festival has been held annually since the city incorporated in 2005. The name "Butlerville" traces to an 1849 community vote in which the Butler family won the right to name the settlement.

Holladay Summer Concert Series: Saturdays at 8 p.m.
The Holladay City Arts Council's free concert series is celebrating its 10th season at Holladay City Hall Park, 4580 S. 2300 E. Shows start at 8 p.m. every Saturday.

The series drew more than 1,000 people to several shows during its 2025 season, according to Council Member Paul Fotheringham's report at the August 7, 2025, Holladay City Council meeting.
Wildflower Festival wraps up in the canyons
The Cottonwood Canyons Foundation's 30th annual Wasatch Wildflower Festival continues Saturday, July 18, at Snowbird and Sunday, July 19, at Alta. Registration is available at cottonwoodcanyons.org/forms/wwf26/.
Joanna Wheelton, the foundation's executive director, told the Daily Utah Chronicle in July that Big Cottonwood Canyon is "honestly one of the most remarkable geological features in Utah."
