Cottonwood Heights residents can still nominate a neighbor's patriotic yard display for the city's Red, White & Bloom contest. Winners will be announced in August.
The contest asks residents to recognize neighbors whose yards feature what the city describes as "aesthetically patriotic" decorations. It is part of Cottonwood Heights' participation in America250, the nationwide celebration marking 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
Nominations remain open, the Holladay Journal reported July 21. No deadline has been publicly announced.

America250 in Utah
America250 is a multi-year national program inviting municipalities, counties, and Tribal Nations to commemorate the nation's founding through local events and recognition programs.
